Portable Buildings Warranty

A-1 Portable Buildings LLC makes the following limited warranties. These warranties extend to the original purchaser only.

Vinyl Shed Warranty

1. 50 Year Vinyl Siding Warranty

CertainTeed Wolverine Siding “American Heritage” is covered by a limited 50 year warranty for manufacturing defects and excessive color fade, subject to the manufacturer’s terms and proper maintenance.

  • Coverage includes blistering, checking, crazing, flaking, peeling, or uneven weathering caused by manufacturing defects.
  • Coverage for excessive color fade applies subject to product examination and required maintenance.

Recommended Cleaning And Maintenance

  • General cleaning: rinse with an ordinary garden hose from top to bottom.
  • Moderate dirt: wash at least annually with clear water using a soft-bristled brush.
  • Heavy industrial dirt: use 1/3 cup detergent, 2/3 cup trisodium phosphate, and 1 gallon of water.
  • Mildew removal: use 1/2 cup detergent, 2/3 cup trisodium phosphate, 1 quart sodium hypochlorite 5% solution, and 3 quarts water.

2. 25 Year Aluminum Trim, Fascia, And Soffit Warranty

Coiled aluminum trim, soffit, and fascia products carry a limited 25 year warranty against chipping, flaking, peeling, rusting, crazing, or blistering due to manufacturing defects under normal atmospheric conditions. Remedies may include repair, replacement, refinishing, or prorated refund, subject to manufacturer terms.

3. 30 Year Shingle Warranty

CertainTeed Landmark shingles include a limited 30 year warranty on a prorated basis, including a SureStart non-prorated 5 year replacement option under manufacturer protocol.

4. 40 Year Metal Roof Warranty

Patriot Manufacturing Weather-X siliconized polyester coil-coated roof panels include a limited 40 year warranty on a prorated basis against cracking, checking, or peeling. Substrate corrosion is excluded. The first 5 years provide 100% replacement, the next 5 years provide 50% replacement, and the remaining period is subject to manufacturer chalk and fade terms.

5. Pressure Treated Lumber Warranty

All pressure-treated lumber carries a lifetime warranty against decay.

6. 2 Year Blanket Warranty

A-1 extends a 2 year blanket warranty against defective workmanship, lumber, and products used on the building. This applies only to defects deemed structurally critical and does not cover misuse, accidents, improper maintenance, improper use, vandalism, acts of God, or buildings that have been moved, altered, or modified without written authorization from A-1 Portable Buildings LLC.

Warranty Conditions

  • You must submit a bill of sale or other proof of purchase.
  • You must notify A-1 Portable Buildings LLC within 14 days after discovering a defect.
  • All warranty service must be performed by A-1 Portable Buildings LLC or its agents.
  • The warranty is effective only if the building remains at the original delivery site.
  • Evidence of adequate maintenance is required, including leveling adjustments and keeping vegetation or dirt away from building edges.
  • Failure to meet these conditions may void the limited warranty.
